Q: What is included in my registration fees?

A: All Full Conference passes include:

  • Access to the Conference Kick-off sponsored by Veterinary Purchasing
  • Access to all live and recorded continuing education sessions
  • Access to daily keynote, panel discussions, Meet the Expert and Exhibitor Meet-and-Greet programs

Q: Is there a student rate?

A: As the conference fees are significantly reduced, there is not a student rate. For more information, please visit the Pricing Page.

 

Q: If I cannot attend, can a colleague attend in my place?

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

A: A Cancellation Fee of $25 applies to all cancellations made prior to 5:00PM EST on Friday, February 5, 2021. Cancellation Requests made after 5:00PM EST on Friday, February 5, 2021 will not be refunded. Q: What topics will be covered at the conference?

A: To view all of the topics covered, please visit the Session Details page.

Q: Do I need to select my sessions in advance?

A: You can create your personalized agenda at any time after you have registered. In order to attend a live session or view a recording, you must first add the session to your agenda.

Q: How can I become a presenter?

A: All of our speakers have been selected for the conference. If you are interested in speaking in the future, sign up to receive OAVT emails

Q: How can I become an exhibitor?

A: Please visit the Sponsors page for the most recent exhibitor and sponsorship information.

Live Sessions

Q: What time zone will the sessions be presented in?

A: All sessions will be presented in Eastern Standard Time (EST)

Q: How do I watch a session?

A: Once you're logged in, go to the Sessions page and click on the title of each session you are interested in viewing. Add it to your agenda (if it is not already there) by clicking on the “Register and Add to my Agenda” button. You can then join or watch by clicking the green join presentation button.

Q: Do I have to be registered to attend sessions or view a session recording?

A: Yes, you must already be registered in order to attend sessions or view a session recording.

Q: Are the Presentation Slides available to download?

A: If the speaker provided us with a copy of their slides, they will be available in the Documents Tab in that session to download.

Q: Can I add notes while watching?

A: Yes, go for it! When in a session, click the myNotes tab, type and export them later on.

Session Recordings

Q: Will the sessions be available on-demand after?

A: Yes, all continuing education sessions will be available for on-demand viewing after the event. Session recordings will be posted by March 31, 2021.

Q: How do I watch a session?

A: Make sure you’re logged in, go to the Sessions page and click on the title of each session you are interested in viewing. Add it to your agenda (if it is not already there) by clicking on the “Register and Add to my Agenda” button. You can then join or watch by clicking the green join presentation button.

Q: Do I have to be registered to watch each session?

A: You must already be registered in order to watch sessions. You also must add the sessions you want to your agenda.

CE Credits (OAVT Members)

Q: How many CE credits will I receive for the conference?

A: We will be following the OAVT CE's policy which is that each webinar (60 minutes in length) will be worth 1 CE credit for those that attend. OAVT members can obtain a maximum of 5 CE credits per day and will be responsible for recording their own credits in their CE records. 

Q: Can I receive CE credits for viewing session recordings?

A: Yes! To remain compliant with the CE policy, in order for OAVT members to collect CE credits for viewing recorded sessions, there will be an associated quiz to complete. A member must obtain a minimum score of 8/10 to receive their CE credit.

Q: Will CE credits be automatically applied to my account?

A: No, each member will be responsible for reporting their own CE credits.

Q: What browser should I use to watch the virtual conference?

A: Get the latest Google ChromeFirefoxEdgeOpera, or Safari

Q: I am not seeing the green join presentation button.

A: First, make sure you added the session to your agenda as per the above.  If you have added the session to your agenda, and are still not seeing the green join presentation button, your browser might be cached on your device. You may need to clear your browser’s cache on the join page. To do so:

  • On Windows: ctrl + F5
  • On a Mac/Apple: Apple + R or command + R
  • On Linux: F5
